Last week we uploaded the 3.4.0-3.8 Quantal kernel which was based on the final v3.4 upstream kernel. This upload also included an updated AppArmor patch set, misc config updates, and bug fixes. We've continued to homogenize the Quantal kernel config this week and will intend to upload these latest changes no later than Monday. This upcoming upload will be what we intend to ship for the Alpha-1 release. We are above the trend line for our Alpha-1 burn down chart and a few items will be deferred to the Alpha-2 milestone. |
This week we uploaded the 3.4.0-5.11 Quantal kernel which was shipped with the Alpha-1 release. This upload contained some critical fixes for the Alpha-1 release. The upstream v3.5-rc1 Linux kernel was also released this week and we are currently working on getting the Quantal kernel rebased. We have re-targeted any open Alpha-1 work items to Alpha-2. |

We anticipate the upstream v3.5-rc1 kernel to release relatively soon. We will hold uploading a v3.5 based kernel until after the Alpha-1 milestone. | We typically prefer to refrain from uploading early -rc, eg 3.5-rc1. However, depending on initial testing, we may choose to do so. |
