We intend to upload the 3.5.0-12.12 Quantal kernel before the end of the week.
The most notable changes in this kernel will be updates to the brcmsmac and
apple-gmux drivers, a fix for CVE-2012-3412, and misc bug fixes. As usual, we
will also upload this to the ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/q-lts-backport PPA to facilitate
testing of the 12.10 kernel in 12.04. Please test and let us know your results.
We uploaded the 3.5.0-17.26 and 3.5.0-18.27 kernels leading up to Kernel
Freeze this week. These uploads most notable contained a rebase to
upstream stable v3.5.5, updated Highbank patches, additional
Haswell graphics support patches, packaging updates for signing kernels,
as well as misc bug fixes and config updates. With Kernel Freeze now in
effect, only patches which adhere to the SRU policy will be applied.
Additionally, only critical bug fixes will warrent an upload at this
time as we approach our final release.

As usual, we intend to land these kernel in the
ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/q-lts-backport PPA to facilitate testing of the 12.10
kernel in 12.04. Please test and let us know your results.

As well as the 3.5.0-12.12 upload, we will likely plan a final kernel upload
next Tues in preparation for Quantal Beta-1 freeze.

What was done engineering wise?

We uploaded the 3.5.0-17.26 and 3.5.0-18.27 kernels leading up to Kernel Freeze this week.
