Ubuntu Use

I've been with Ubuntu since early 2005, and currently have two machines running both Edgy and Feisty.

Primary System : My HP Pavilion dv6102od laptop is currently running Ubuntu Feisty 7.04, and I am actively participating in the development cycle.

Other Ubuntu Boxes : I recently set-up an old Pentium-II box for my parents (500MHz, 192MB RAM) with a fresh install of Ubuntu Feisty Herd 3. Since then, everything has gone smoothly, and my parents hardly realize that it's not Windows XP that they're using any more. I worked quite a bit on making the desktop feel more like the traaditional windows interface, and their transition was smooth. Surprisingly, Feisty has perfomed amazingly well on the old box... yet another testament to Ubuntu's feasibility on older machines.

Kentucky LoCo Team

• I'm an active member of the Kentucky LoCo Team, helping to spread Ubuntu throughout the Commonwealth.

• As Wiki Team leader, I help coordinate wiki maintainence for the Kentucky Team, and have made large contributions to the [:KentuckyTeam/KnowledgeBase:KnowledgeBase].

• Spearheaded the [:KentuckyTeam/CustomArtwork:CustomArtwork] project and packaged the team's custom artwork packages.
