Notes

  1. Despite "Centrino Speedstep" being all over the product literature, the "centrino-speedstep" module does not work. To enable CPU power scaling under Fiesty, add "p4_clockmod" to /etc/modules. Until then, symptoms include:
  2. CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor applet reports that scaling is unsupported
  3. sudo cpufreq-select -g any-option returns "No cpufreq support"

  4. cpufreq is missing from sys-fs (/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq)
