Current Testing Phase

  • Current Release: Ubuntu Edgy Eft Stable Release
  • Testing Date: December 28, 2006

Current Issues

Installation procedure: Screen goes blank even if computer is started in safe graphics mode (xforcevesa kernel switch). xorg.conf has to be edited (either to vesa or with the correct options to the device section) and xserver restarted. If vesa driver is selected then after installation is completed xorg.conf has to be edited with the correct options or fglrx has to be installed, otherwise graphics are extremly slow. My relevant xorg.conf portion (for dual head) is posted in the notes section.
