Notes
This only applies to the model owned by Arthur Archnix:
- If sound does not work from fresh install (in a dual-boot scenario with Windows):
- Restart, enter bios (F10), reset to defaults, apply changes (F10), save and exit (F10).
- Video playback seemes not working due to some XVideo issue. A workaround is to disable XVideo support by inserting the following line in the video card section of xorg.conf:
- Option "XVideo" "false"
Model PavelŠefránek (1)
For full resolution do sudo aptitude install xserver-xorg-video-intel. (2)
Model Arthur Archnix and model PavelŠefránek (3)
Model FlorianPurucker (4)
Model Arthur Archnix (5)
Model FlorianPurucker and model PavelŠefránek (6)
Processor does not support frequency scaling - Model Arthur Archnix and model FlorianPurucker (7)
Model PavelŠefránek, processor can scale its own frequency (8)
Add the line options snd-hda-intel model=laptop to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base in order to mute speakers when headphones are plugged in. (This is not so proper solution, but for now it just works. See [https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=337409 #337409] for more details) (9)
With restricted drivers. (10)
