## page was renamed from LaptopTestingTeam/SharpMM20 * Contact: EduardoGonzalez (wm_eddie [[http://wm-eddie.info/]]) * Make: Sharp * Model: Actius MM20 == Current Issues == The hard disc died (killed? It's only 2 weeks old.) Unable to continue. Update: I replaced the Hard drive and it broke within a week. I no longer own an MM20. If anyone else wants to update this page please do. Be careful with that hard drive though. ---- Dist-upgrade to Breezy was pretty un-successful. The good news is that sound works better. but there are still a lot of alsa underrun errors. Netboot of the Breezy installer worked. After bootstrapping and rebooting the machine my wireless nic (eth0) was now switched to eth1 and I had to manually change the config in /etc/networking/interfaces to get it to finish the install. I get this at boot {{{ 8139cp: pci dev 0000:00:0a.0 (id 10ec:8139 rev 10) is not an 8129C+ compatible chip Try the "8139too" driver instead. }}} X starts, the cursor is visible and movable, but GDM doesn't start. I'm still looking through the logs for errors. ---- Looks like my FS got currupted, perhaps a bug in ext3 or LVM? == Hardware details == '''Hardware Information''' * CPU Transmeta Efficeon TM8600 Processor - 1.0GHz * Memory 512MB DDR SDRAM * Display 10.4" XGA TFT LCD (1024 x 768) ## More info tomorrow. ||<-4 tablewidth="75%"> '''Hardware Information''' || ||<-4> '''Screen & Monitors''' || ||<|2> '''Device''' ||<-2> '''Works?''' ||<|2> '''Bug #''' || || in Hoary (current stable)? || in Breezy (current development)? || || Screen || Yes || No || || || Correct resolution? || Yes|| Yes || || || Correct refresh rate? || Yes || Maybe || || || 3D Acceleration || No || Untested || || || External monitor works? || Yes || Untested || || || External monitor - mirrors || Yes || Untested || || || External monitor - extend desktop || Untested || Untested || || ||<-4> '''Power Management''' || || Battery detected? || Yes || Untested || || || Hibernates? || No || Untested || || || Sleep || No || Untested || || || Dim/Blank monitor? || Yes || Untested || || ||<-4> '''Sound''' || || Sound works? || No || Yes || || || Correct volume? || Yes || No || || || Hardware volume switch || Yes || Untested || || || Headphone jack || Yes || Yes || || || Mic jack || N/A || N/A || || ||<-4> '''Networking''' || || Wired NIC || Yes || No? || || || Wireless NIC || Yes || Yes || || || PCMCIA NIC || Untested || Untested || || || Firewire || N/A || N/A || || || Bluetooth || N/A || N/A || || || Modem || Untested || Untested || || || Infrared || N/A || N/A || ||<-4> '''Touchpad & Mice''' || || Touchpad || Yes[1] || Yes || || || Touchpad - Doubletap = double click || Yes || Untested || || || Touchpad - Scroll down side || Yes || Untested || || || External mouse - USB || Yes || Untested || || || External mouse - Serial || N/A || N/A || || ||<-4> '''Docking Station/Port Replicator''' || || AC through replicator || N/A || N/A || || || USB || N/A || N/A || || || Serial || N/A || N/A || || || Parallel || N/A || N/A || || || External Monitor - VGA || N/A || N/A || || || External Monitor - DVI || N/A || N/A || || || Modem || N/A || N/A || || || NIC || N/A || N/A || || || PS/2 || N/A || N/A || || ||<-4> '''Additional Hardware''' || || Fingerprint reader || N/A || N/A || || || CD/DVD drive || N/A || N/A || || || PCMCIA cards || Yes || Untested || || ## Add or remove keys as needed for your laptop.
