Card reader(s)

No

No

This appears as a PCMCIA device under windows, but doesn't appear anywhere obvious (there is a '06:04.2 Mass storage controller: Texas Instruments Unknown device 803b' in lspci, might be this?

Under Hardy (8.04) it reads SD cards ok (I have no memory stick to try), and it's listed in lsusb as "Standard Microsystems Corp. 9-in-2 Card Reader"
