Current Issues
- sound is choppy, slow and distorted
solve by turning off "PCI Bus Power Management" in the BIOS (thanks to Mike in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=7386)
- F1 on boot to enter BIOS Setup Utility
Config -> Advanced Setup -> PCI Bus Power Management: change to "Disabled".
- F10 for Save and Exit, sound now works normally!
- F1 on boot to enter BIOS Setup Utility
- sometimes fixed by having certain PCMCIA network cards
Note
To watch DVDs specify more video memory in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, Section "Device"
