One of the better supported laptop platforms under Linux. You will find that almost everything works "out of the box".

Following thermal sensors work:
  * CPU Temp
  * Fan Speed
  * Battery Temp
  * HDD Temp
  * Video Temp

If you have previously setup fingerprint scanning on Windows integrated with the BIOS, this will continue to work even with Linux installed.  There are ways to integrate the fingerprint scanner with linux so that you can login via your fingerprint. In order to get suspend/restore working without artifacts on the screen or an unusable screen, use the binary drivers from ati.com.
