ToshibaSatelliteM105-S3041

Current Issues

The notebook has a US style keyboard. But even setting it to US International (with dead keys) the cedilla does not work correctly (it prints ć instead of ç). To workaround this problem, edit the /etc/gtk2.0/gtk.immodules file, adding en to the end of this line:

"cedilla" "Cedilla" "gtk+" "/usr/share/locale" "az:ca:co:fr:gv:oc:pt:sq:tr:wa"

to make it look like this:

"cedilla" "Cedilla" "gtk+" "/usr/share/locale" "az:ca:co:fr:gv:oc:pt:sq:tr:wa:en"

OR just get used with using R_CTRL + , then c to get the ç.

Notes

When switching display modes (Fn + F5) the notebook screen gets "scrumbled", but changing to terminal (CTRL + ALT + F1) and then back to X (CTRL + ALT + F7) the screen gets normal again.

Had to remove .asoundrc to make system sounds work (login, logout, click, error sounds...):

rm .asoundrc*
