I am in first year Computer Science. I love open source software and I especially love the nice little features in Ubuntu that no other distro ever found time to create, like gnome-app-install, hardware detection, OEM mode in breezy, etc. However for my own desktop I prefer Kubuntu, because I couldn't live without amaroK and Konqueror. I have been running linux for since beginning of 2004, and Kubuntu since September, 2005 (when I got my high-speed internet - apt-get sucks on dial-up).
