1. First, install totem-xine (removing totem-gstreamer)

2. Install gstreamerX.X-plugins and gstreamerX.X-plugins-multiverse (take care with country laws)

3. Activate all gstreamer plugins (not always necessary)

4. Install mplayer and mplayer-plugin

5. Remove totem-mozilla-plugin

=== Using Totem (use this if you have problems with mplayer) ===

1. Uninstall mplayer-plugin (remove completly) on Synaptic or on your favorite package manager.

2. Install totem-xine and totem-xine-firefox-plugin. This will remove totem-gstreamer if you have it.

3. Close all mozilla or firefox windows (this will restart it)

4. Start mozilla or firefox and Multimedia Streaming is ready to go!
