Then, you have to become a universe maintainer. Follow the steps in ["MaintainerCandidates"] and ["TechnicalBoardAgenda"].
Finally, join the MOTU team
To become an Ubuntu Member, you'll have to list your work as a MOTU (merges, syncs, bug fixing, etc) on your wiki homepage. Doing so from the start will probably help! Ask other MOTUs or MOTU Hopefuls for examples if needed.
