Main Inclusion Report for libsdl1.2debian-alsa

  1. Availability: The package is available in ubuntu universe and builds on our three major platforms

  2. Rationale: Including this package allows ALSA output for all programs currently using the SDL libraries. In main, this includes at least tuxtype, tuxmath, libxine1c2, libsmpeg0c2, linopenal0, gnomemeeting, gcompris, and blender. In universe, there are many more. This package should replace libsdl1.2debian-oss as the default SDL backend.

  3. Security:

    • No CVEs or other security issues
    • No executable binaries, daemons, ports, or setuid/setgid files are installed.
  4. Quality assurance:

    • Needs no setup after install
    • No major bugs (1 normal) in Debbugs

    • The source package is maintained as part of Ubuntu main
  5. Standards compliance: The package meets the FHS and Debian Policy (3.6.1)

  6. Dependencies:

    • all in main already

Reviewers

MartinPitt: that's fine, we have the source anyway, and it is already seeded.
