Open Source in my life
I've been using computers since i was 8 years old (1990). In 1994 i had my first contact with Linux (Slackware), and since then i have dual-booted. In Aug 2000 i went for an exchange at the University of Alberta, where i had my first contact with BSD Syestems. That was, because every computer on the lab used OpenBSD. That forced me to leave proprietary software behind. On 2001 I came back to Brasil, and since then I have single-booted on either BSD (mostly FreeBSD) or Linux.
I'm just about to graduate as a Informatics B.Sc. in the Pontific Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). And for the last years I have done free-lancer jobs -mostly- in free software.
