Team Info

The Ubuntu Massachusetts Local Community Team is a group of volunteers and activists organized around the Ubuntu operating system. We advocate digital [:DigitalRights:rights] and [:DigitalFreedom:freedom] and promote Ubuntu as a means of achieving this.

We also support and connect users throughout the state of Massachusetts. Our [:LoCoTeams:LoCo Team] is one of the ["USTeams"].

The team operates in accordance to the [https://launchpad.net/codeofconduct/1.0.1 Ubuntu Code of Conduct].

Goals

  1. Educate
    • Teach the public about Ubuntu, Open Source, and Free Software
  2. Promote
    • Advocate Ubuntu to groups like schools, libraries, families, businesses, etc.
  3. Supply
    • Provide supplies and information for getting Ubuntu
  4. Support
    • Offer local support for getting and using Ubuntu
  5. Connect
    • Bridge connections between Ubuntu users

  5. Participate and Get Involved in (See "How You Can Help" below)
