I am a husband, a father of three, and a writer. I have written magazine articles, contributed to books, and even written and published my own books. I am also a musician who plays the guitar and the bass, have played as a studio musician for other artists, and hope someday to record some of my own music. I am an avid and voracious reader, speak several languages, have worked as a consultant on topics including culture, language, religion and computers, and spent several years running a small business in North Africa before moving back to my hometown of Tucson, Arizona. I also do a bit of work as a website designer and administrator and am a free and open source software enthusiast.

• I am and have been an Ubuntu member since August 21, 2006.

  I am a member of the Forum Council (one of the admins) for the Official Ubuntu Forums and try to help new users, answer Ubuntu questions, and attempt to encourage a calm, enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere for all. This is my main contribution to the Ubuntu community.

  I am a member of the Europe, Middle East and Africa regional approval board.
