My name is Matthew Helmke and I am one of the admins in the Official Ubuntu Forums where I go by the name "matthew" and try to help new users, answer Ubuntu questions, and attempt to encourage a calm, enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere for all. This is my main contribution to the Ubuntu community.
I am an Ubuntu member.
I serve as a member of the Forum Council.
I am also a member of the Europe, Middle East and Africa regional approval board.
I can be found from time to time (rarely) on irc.freenode.net in #ubuntuforums, and of course #ubuntu-meeting, using the nickname(s) forumsmatthew or matthew5.
I contributed a chapter and an appendix to the third edition of The Official Ubuntu Book, coming out in mid 2008.
