This idea can be use for everything, like movie. You have an icon of pellicule for movie. Then, in a sub menu, you have for example Dvd. This Dvd has in top right the pellicule icon. With this, you know where you are in the media center. Elisa use one menu at bottom with the main items (Music, Movie...) : * attachment:menu1.png When you select one item on this, like movie, an other menu, a sub menu, is open, at the bottom. * attachment:menu2.png You have two menu. Summary
This specification describes the Ubuntu Media Center UI, User Interface. It will provide some example of what can we do to have a efficient, easy, unique... interface. It deals with icons, menus...
Icons
One idea is to have a reminder on each icon. If your choice is to play music on a Cd, you choose Music and then Cd, you will have this :
- This icon for Music :

- and then for Cd (in a sub menu):
attachment:cd.png
This idea can be use for everything, like movie. You have an icon of pellicule for movie. Then, in a sub menu, you have for example Dvd. This Dvd has in top right the pellicule icon. With this, you know where you are in the media center.
Elisa use one menu at bottom with the main items (Music, Movie...) :
