 * I was a student of Computer Science at the "[http://web.uniud.it Università di Udine]", I work for my dad's factory now, programming in BASIC, BusinessBASIC.... (yeah... don't tell me!) and working with Photoshop/Inkscape/GIMP... but I'm always looking for a job concerning computer science!  * Graduate in Computer Science @ "[http://web.uniud.it Università di Udine]"

What I usually do is translating in Launchpad and refining the Italian wiki, but sometimes I say my word even on the [http://forum.ubuntu-it.org/index.php Italian forum]! I'm also a translator for upstream GNOME and other projects too:
 * '''Planner'''
 * '''Seahorse'''
 * '''gnome-media'''
 * '''brasero'''
 * '''Gedit'''
 * '''gnome-power-manager'''
 * '''xchat-gnome'''
 * '''yelp'''
 * '''empathy'''
 * '''hugin'''
 * '''monodevelop'''
 * '''transmission'''
 * '''moinmoin''' (version 1.7 rocks!)
 * '''compiz''', '''fusion''', '''ccsm''' and '''emerald''' (they're using pootle right now, but I don't like it very much)
 * '''ekiga'''

I'm also a translator for upstream GNOME. I'm in charge of '''Planner''', '''Seahorse''', '''gnome-media''', '''brasero''', '''Gedit''', '''gnome-power-manager''', '''xchat-gnome''', I've worked on the translation of the '''Gnome2 accessibility guide''', '''F-Spot''' and '''Gaim/Pidgin'''. Sometimes I help others who want to start translating for GNOME or Ubuntu (when they ask me for help! ;). I'm now trying to complete the translation of '''GNOME User Guide''' and of compiz, compiz-fusion, emerald and Compiz``Config Settings Manager (I'm almost finished with these... but it seems there are problem uploading them). I've worked on the translation of the '''Gnome2 accessibility guide''', the '''Gnome2 User Guide''', '''F-Spot''' and '''Gaim/Pidgin'''. Sometimes I help others who want to start translating for GNOME or Ubuntu (when they ask me for help! ;).

I've contributed also to seahorse's manual (adding a new section to it).

Sometimes I report bugs on Malone or [http://bugzilla.gnome.org/ Gnome-Bugzilla].

In the past (and present...) I've contributed a little for the ubuntu-doc team.
I've been working and actually I'm working on upstream documentations:
 * some changes in '''seahorse''' manual
 * work on doc for '''brasero'''
 * work in progress for '''empathy''' ([http://live.gnome.org/Empathy/Documentation live.gnome.org page])
 * past contribute to the ubuntu-doc team also
Line 45: Line 61:
 * Finding a new job... and moving from Italy....
Line 47: Line 64:
 * Knowing a little better Doc``Book... (contributing for the doc-team and for seahorse manual helped me)
 * Organise a '''Ubuntu Day''' (open for all) in Italy and a '''Italian Community Meeting'''...
 * Knowing a little better Doc``Book.

Specifications

Here are some specification that I posted on [https://launchpad.net/ Launchpad]:

What I'm thinking at the moment

  • Finding a new job... and moving from Italy....
  • Plans... hmm... trying to have a 99.9% Italian GNOME (not only UI but also manuals... that's tough!)
  • Mastering Python... I'm starting to know it. My plan... writing an apps for managing my growing books collection (I'm a hard reader)... and maybe start working on a small managment information system for my dad's factory (BASIC is so old...)
  • Knowing a little better DocBook.

  • Organise a Ubuntu Day in Italy.

  • Future will tell...
