== About Me ==

## This section is where you should talk about your screen name and how you came to use it. It doesn't need to be an
##essay, one or two lines would be fine. You should also list how you first came across Ubuntu. For example:

I first tried Ubuntu when 6.10 (Edgy) was released in 2008. By the time 7.04 (Feisty) was released I was hooked & switched all of my computers over to Ubuntu. Since then I have managed to successfully convert my partner/girlfriend to Ubuntu & she is actually liking it more than windows. I am currently in the process of introducing the wonders of Ubuntu to my Grandmother to help rid her of the worries related to virus/spyware issues she is currently experiencing in windows.

=== Socially ===

## You are a person, tell people what you do for fun. Not everything on your wiki has to be about computers or Ubuntu.

Basically, my social life revolves around my family ;) If my kids have scouts, karate, etc - that's what I'm doing socially.

When i do occasionally find that I have some "down time", I like to read a good book, enjoy a movie or play around with whatever latest computer-related topic has piqued my interest.

=== Professionally ===

## This section is the place to talk about what you do for a living or if you are a student talk a little about your ##course. You could also say what job you would eventually like to have.

I am an IT Engineer (currently) specialising in HP Products (anything from ipaqs, laptops & desktops to mission critical servers & everything in between).

## This section is also a great place to tell people if you use Ubuntu for professional purposes. For example:

For the last couple of years I have helped to create a highly customised Ubuntu based SOE on all company Desktops & Laptops within our company (Australia-wide). I am eagerly awaiting the release of Lucid as I believe our SOE should be based on an LTS. Currently we have been upgrading the SOE after each Ubuntu release.

== Ubuntu Participation ==

## This section is very important. It is the place where you group all you list all your contributions to Ubuntu and its ##Community.

=== Beginners Team ===

## Note that headings with 3 = do not place a horizontal line across the page. Here is an example of what you may wish to
## write here:

I am not a member of the Beginners Team yet. I am currently in the process of joining it and have (insert a name as a master. I wish to join this team as I find it very rewarding when I am able to help new users see just how truly awesome Ubuntu & Free Software really is. I aim to become a team member by July 2010.

=== Ubuntu Bug Squad & Bug Control ===

I joined the Ubuntu Bug Squad in January 2010 as I felt that this would be a great way to give back to the community. I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the Bug Control Team in February 2010 where I continue to do bug triaging work. I mostly work on Ubuntu One related bugs in Launchpad.

=== SRU Verification Team ===

## If you are a member of any forum teams then this is where to say so. List the teams you are a member of, what they ##seek to achieve and how you help. For example:

I joined the SRU Verification Team in January 2010 & have tested a few SRU packages. This is something that I need to do more often.

=== AU Local Community Team ===

## Are you a member of any Local Teams? If so, put it here. Describe what you do for the team and why you joined it.
I am a member of the Ubuntu-AU Loco Team. We are currently undergoing the re-approval process. I hope to be able to more actively contribute locally once the Loco Team has been re-approved.

=== Internet Relay Chat ===

## Do you use IRC regurlarly? If so, post your registered nickname and the channels you are often present in. For example:

My registered IRC nickname is kermiac. I am looking forward to getting to know the Ubuntu community members better through this medium. I am usually present in the following channels:

 1. #ubuntu-au
 2. #ubuntu-au-chat
 3. #ubuntu-bugs
 4. #ubuntu-testing
 5. #ubuntu-beginners

== Linux User Group (LUG) ==

## Are you a member of any Linux User Groups? If you are let people know, not everything on your wiki has to be centered ##around Ubuntu. Anything to do with open source is also good thing to tell people about. For example:

I do not attend any LUG's currently, though it is something I would like to get involved with. I have recently been told about SLUG (Sydney Linux Users Group) and hope to attend a meeting soon.

== Goals For The Future ==

## This should be a list of a few things that you would like to achieve in the near and far future. It can also be things ##that you would like to sustain.

## List items should be in the format demonstrated below.

 1. Continue to triage bugs in Launchpad
 2. Continue to get Friends and Family trying Ubuntu
 3. Become an Ubuntu Beginners Team member
 4. Continue to offer assistance on IRC
 5. Join a LUG
 6. Create a blog outlining the experiences of my grandmothers' switch from windows to Ubuntu

== Testimonials ==

## If you decide to apply for Ubuntu Membership it is advised that you have some testimonials written by other people.

##You should leave this section empty.
