There's not a lot here for now, please change that! === Introduction: ===

Ubuntu is a growing entity: In NZ, although there are a lot of Linux users - and very possibly a fiar number of Ubuntu users - there's no place to meet, get local help, and organise advocacy.

The reason for NZ team is to try to change that, our initial aim is to get as many members as possible, as soon as we can, and have an 'Ubuntu Party' as close as possible to the release date of Ubuntu 6.06 - The Dapper Drake. The Dapper Party will probably be held in Auckland (just because there're lots of peope) and will be a great oppertunity to spread the word, get systems up and running, hand out CD's, and demo the wonderful operating system that is Ubuntu.

=== Long Term Goals: ===

* To provide local support to both people and companies who want to use Ubuntu in NZ
* To provide local install support for people wanting to move to Ubuntu
* To spread the word about Ubuntu, give out CD's, and get people using them
* To organise meetings to review the state of the team, and find new ways the further the spread of Ubuntu
