| My contributions to Ubuntu so far have been concentrated in IRC, where I have been an active participant since Fall of 2005. Some of my more quantitative contributions are to launchpad, including: * https://launchpad.net/bugs/40292 * https://launchpad.net/bugs/50648 * https://launchpad.net/bugs/51158 * https://launchpad.net/bugs/56781 * https://launchpad.net/bugs/57175 As well as miscellaneous other bugs submitted to other upstream projects over the years. I’ve also contributed a bit to the wiki, random grammatical fixes, as well fixing all of the ‘sudo’ commands (sudo to gksudo/kdesu/gksu for graphical programs), which consisted of about 35 pages spanning both http://wiki.ubuntu.com and http://help.ubuntu.com, and most took place on 7/24/06. Here are a few examples (you can view the RecentChanges back to then for an exhaustive listing): * https://help.ubuntu.com/community/YabootConfigurationForMacintoshPowerPCsDualBoot * https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PureFTP * https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FrostWire * https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NvNetInstallation * https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NlTerminalHowto * https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XenVirtualMachine/XenOnUbuntuDapper * https://wiki.ubuntu.com/iRiverH340 Another wiki page I have created is the [:Classroom/Log/2006-08-20:transcripts of the second lesson] for [:Classroom:Ubuntu Classroom]. |

About
I am currently a student studying electrical engineering at San Diego State University, in San Diego, California.BR I have been using linux since 2003, and Ubuntu since Hoary. I mostly use linux as a server, both for day-to-day use as well as development, including SSH, a webserver, Subversion, IMAP (and a few more acronyms).BR I am comfortable in a good deal of programming languages, including C, C++, Perl, PHP, (and some not-so-programming-languages: SQL, CSS, HTML, etc). (I’m going to get around to learning Python eventually, honest.)
Contributions
My contributions to Ubuntu so far have been concentrated in IRC, where I have been an active participant since Fall of 2005. I also played a large part in the restructuring and resurrection of the [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CaliforniaTeam California LoCo team], which I am now the LoCo contact for, and we have recently held a number of [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CaliforniaTeam/Meetings meetings].
Goals
Sometime in the near future I hope to become a developer, I’m still not sure what I’d like to help with yet though. I’d also like to become a package maintainer for some curses based programs I’d like to see in ubuntu. I'd also like to see the California Loco team thrive. I think we've got some good direction and energy currently and I hope it continues to grow and develop.
