The New York State LoCo reaches out to the community in an effort to have individuals and groups adopt Ubuntu as their OS of choice. If you are interested in advocating for the use of in your area the LoCo can help you develop your own presentation and pool of resources. The LoCo also has several members who give presentations and may be available to attend events in your local area.

Education

The New York State LoCo co-sponsors events that help to educate new and current users. This includes events such as install festivals, bug jams, and testing. The events can be in-person or via IRC. The LoCo will also be highlighting the efforts of ubuntu-classroom which holds on-line technical training classes.
