== The Story ==

Enlightened and motivated by a couple of friends, started with GNU/Linux sometime around end of 2002 with Mandrake/Red Hat. Joined Indian Linux User Group, Chennai Chapter and started my journey as a part of the FOSS community. Started using Ubuntu since Warty, but was only a secondary distro then. With Breezy, Ubuntu became my primary GNU/Linux distribution and Dapper made me migrate completely to Ubuntu. For long didn't realize that I can become a part of Ubuntu community, having not even looked much into Launchpad. Joined Ubuntu India Loco Team during it's initial days, though not a part of it's starting members. Took some more time to learn about GPG keys and get one for me, the first thing I did on getting one was became an Ubuntero by completing my account in LP. Later joined Ubuntu Tamil Team when I started doing Tamil translation for Django and contributed now and then.

Became a Core part of Ubuntu India Team, and started representing it whenever I visited Colleges and spoke to Students as a part of my day job at NRCFOSS. During the period between 2005 to 2007 did a lot of FOSS evangelism and awareness programmes like Workshops and Seminars in Colleges, Linux Demo Days, Mentoring students, etc. along with a few other members of ILUGC.

Moved to Bangalore and became a full time Software Engineer with a wide variety of job profiles included. Was the Ubuntu India contact for Ubuntu/Debian Project Day during FOSS.IN 2007, which was a very successful first appearance of Ubuntu India Team though we couldn't manage to bring any bigshots from Ubuntu community. Also got a late realization and joined the Ubuntu Bug Squad and ever since been doing Bug Triage whenever I got some time.

Currently representing the Ubuntu India Team for Global Bug Jam and also organizing a series of exposure sessions in Bug Triage and basic Packaging along with fellow members ["Anjhan"] and ["OnkarShinde"].
