PhilippineTeam Projects
1. Rosetta - Translate Open Source applications in Tagalog! Rosetta is a good place to start a translation project. [https://launchpad.ubuntu.com/rosetta Visit the Rosetta website]. Rosetta projects tend to get into Ubuntu releases much faster.
2. FilipinoDocumentation - The wiki entry for FilipinoDocumentation is still under heavy contruction and consideration.
3. Grassroots Ubuntu - DongCalmada proposed a localized derivative of Ubuntu that targets grassroots development work for NGOs (Non-Government Organizations). JeromeGotangco thinks this is possible with the existing Warty and Hoary releases but with a specialized meta-package that points to specific applications available in the repositories. Will discuss further in the upcoming meetup.
PhilippineTeam Wiki Reminders
The Ubuntu Wiki is the official brainstorming area of the Ubuntu Linux Community.
Everyone is free to edit the pages on this wiki to correct and improve them, except where special consideration is necessary (this will be noted at the top of the page). Before making any changes you must login at the top right of the page and create an identity. This is so we know who has created or edited pages and helps us get in touch and track changes on the wiki.
Please observe the [http://www.ubuntulinux.org/community/conduct Ubuntu Code of Conduct] in your editing as in any public Ubuntu forum.
