• JeromeGotangco - Ubuntu: A GNU/Linux Operating System for everyone (2005-09-16) - This talk was given during Linux World Philippines 2005 at the Dusit Hotel Nikko in Makati City. It is an introduction to Ubuntu, discussing the history, goals and philosophies. It also delved into the success factors that made Ubuntu the top Linux distribution choice in a short span of time. A day after Linux World, the talk was also given at the Ateneo Professional Schools to the Ateneo Information Technology Institute (AITI). The whole presentation was given using Edubuntu workstation. Also PDF available.

• BenjaminMakoHill - Ubuntu and Debian talk given at CNEIS in Manizales, Colombia on 2005-03-17. The page contains links and source to talk notes and slides in both English and Spanish.

• JeromeGotangco - Free and Open Source Software Trends and Issues (2005) - Invited by PC Buyer's Guide Magazine Philippines to hold a series of talks of Open Source and Linux trends and issues. The roadshow covered 11 major Colleges and Universities in Metro Manila from August to October 2005. There are some references to Ubuntu, Edubuntu and the OpenCD Project

• DanielRobitaille - Free and Open Software, Linux, Debian and Ubuntu (ubuntu-talk-robitaille-06-10-2005.odp) - A slightly modified version of a talk I gave at my workplace on October 6th 2005. The main goal of the presentation was to introduce FOSS in a historical context and as an introduction to the current Ubuntu project.

• JeromeGotangco - Ubuntu, at the forefront of the Linux Desktop Revolution - presented during the 5th Software Insight Conference at the COEX in Seoul, Korea last December 2, 2005. This presentation gives an updated overview of the project as well as what's going to happen during the Dapper release cycle.
