Test Plan

  • This testing is in addition to automated testing performed as part of the MP on i386, amd64 and armhf
  • Install updated image on phone and tablet
  • Build and install freshly built branch including MPs that are to be proposed for promoting to archive, this can be done using the run_on_device script
  • Ensure greeter can dismiss
  • Ensure indicators can be accessed
  • Ensure navigating/scrolling the dash works as expected
  • Ensure previews in dash can be accessed including music and video
  • Ensure OSK reveals, takes input and dismisses as expected (note: cross check known OSK bugs for any oddity)
  • Ensure time out and power button blanks screen, and power button unblanks screen
  • Ensure apps can be installed
  • Ensure launcher can be accessed and launch an app
  • Ensure HUD reveals
  • Ensure apps running apps appear in Dash application scope, appear on launcher and can be quit

  • Ensure right edge navigation between apps & dash is as expected

  • Ensure behavior associated with MP is as expected with the relevant component, e.g. dash, indicator or launcher
