I've been working exclusively using Free Software since 1997, and I plan to keep it that way

I've spent my last 8 years working as GNU/Linux system administrator at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Zürich, Switzerland (Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst, Zürich, abbreviated as HGKZ). Recently, we merged with the University for Drama and Theater (?) to become the Zürich University of the Arts (ZHdK, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste). My new position as project manager involves, among other things, setting up a [http://ubuntu.zhdk.ch Ubuntu portal] at the university that includes a laptop shop. In that shop, students and staff of Swiss universities can buy laptops with Ubuntu preinstalled at very reasonable prices, and without having to pay the dreaded and unfair Windows tax.
