Welcome to Qatari Local Community Team

We are Qatari Ubuntu Local Community Team. Our team created very recently on 1st of October 2012. Our team goal is to introduce Ubuntu locally, help locals and residents to learn and use it personally and professionally, create a community based platform where they can share ideas and experiences as well as help each other to learn. In fine, the team will try to promote Ubuntu in a way that users will be concerned about its benefits and love to embrace it.

Team Events

  • Team Meetings - Online meetings are generally held at 10:00 PM BDST (GMT+3) on the second Thursday of each month. Feel free to join us on #ubuntu-qa using any of your favourite IRC client. Alternatively you may prefer to use your web browser and go to Freenode Webchat.

  • Upcoming Events - We usually meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month for an Ubuntu Hour at the Museum of Islamic Art Coffee shop from 3pm to 4pm - Come join us!

  • Previous Events - an archive of details about past meetings.

  • Global Jam 2013 - Our first "in person" meeting was arranged as part of the Ubuntu Global Jam 2013 - A couple of us brought our Ubuntu laptops and hung out at the Museum of Islamic Art from 3pm to 5pm on Friday 1st March 2013.
