- discussion of the kernel port split and where we are on getting community kernels into working order
- new kernel upload planned for today
Server Team

- likewise-open and openldap 2.4.11 are potential targets for alpha-4
- xen domU moving to main to support amazon ec2; expected to be ready for kernel team review by next week

- new dailies being published for MID, but not a blocker for alpha-4

All issues documented in the alpha-3 release notes are milestoned
Desktop Team
- New GNOME drop scheduled for Monday
- "shutdown and reboot act as logout" on seb128's list for next week

- technical overviews for alphas have been lacking in technical content; team leads asked for content

- please escalate regressions by nominating them for intrepid and tag "regression"

ISO Size
- currently everything fits, but vigilance required
- uncompressed Packages files aren't needed on alternate CDs
- should investigate downsampling of desktop sounds sooner, not later
Release manager for alpha-4
slangasek will be at DebConf the week alpha-4 comes out, so Martin Pitt will be standing in as release manager for the milestone; please coordinate with him that week
