About Me

I've been using Linux since 1998, starting with Red Hat. I quickly moved to Debian for a long time, then to Ubuntu during the WartyWarthog release. My local LUG is the Townsville Linux Users Group, for which I administer both the website and Freenode irc channel (#tlug) voluntary. I am also a member of Linux Australia. In the past I have also done a little bit of writing for the KDE Documentation Team and even won prizes for it!

How Have I Contributed to Ubuntu?

I am an active member of the Ubuntu DocumentationTeam and lead maintainer of the Ubuntu/Kubuntu FAQ Guides. The Ubuntu FAQ Guide will be released with BreezyBadger as the default document in Yelp, the GNOME Help Viewer (under System->Help). You can check out the Ubuntu FAQ Guide (also known as the Starter Guide) at:

Much of the FAQ Guide was rewritten by myself with the main aim of fixing all the criticisms of UbuntuGuide.org. More information is available at DocteamProjects, [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FAQGuide FAQGuide] and [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FAQGuideReSpec FAQGuideReSpec].

When I see a need I also write howtos and post them to the Ubuntu Wiki, as well as edit things I think need changing. Some examples of my work include:
