Notes

Use xbindkeys to set the brightness functionality to a key combination like Super_L + F5 or Super_L + F6. Simply start a bashscript at the multikey press event and set the brightness with xbacklight. Note: xbacklight isn't work without changing backlight control to the native mode ("xrandr --output LVDS --set BACKLIGHT_CONTROL native"). To dim the backlight by switching in battery mode put a bashscript in /etc/acpi/battery.d and /etc/acpi/ac.d.
