I'm using Ubuntu 9.04, and the Atheros Wireless card has terrible reception in Ubuntu, compared with Windows. This is when using the default drivers (although it still works well). I should try MadWifi sometime. Special laptop hotkeys don't work. Most things seem fine. The touchpad works. | The screen changes its level of dimness every now and then, this is mildly annoying but only just noticable.
