Guided Installation

The South Dakota LoCo is pleased to offer on-line one-on-one guided installation of Ubuntu for new users. We hope this service will bring Ubuntu to people with a wider range of computer skills. If you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, please follow this procedure to set up a time for someone to help you install Ubuntu.

1. Create a Launchpad account

2. Open a new question here

  • Please include:
  • Available times
  • Information about your computer (CPU, video card, available memory)
  • Special interests (Web server, home network service provider, etc.)

3. A team member will reply to your question with instructions on how to proceed
