==== The present (Update) ====

Update:

I'm back, and I'll do my work for Ubuntu. Let's get everything setteled.

I was in the Ubuntu MOTU Team and I was in the Ubuntu Core Development Team and in some other teams regarding Kubuntu and Instant Messaging stuff.

Due to personal life reasons and to not compromise others I removed all my memberships and privileges from doing work on Ubuntu.

Right now, I'm trying to come back to the Ubuntu/Kubuntu Project for doing another round of packaging and developing.

Package Building

Something about me

Hello Friend,

my name is Stephan '\sh' Hermann and I'm working with Linux now for over 12 years.

The Beginning

Nevertheless, Oliver Grawert(ogra), who was working with me in the same cable tv company, "forced" me to play with Ubuntu Linux. After installing my first Hoary RC1 distribution I was quite amazed. Now I'm running Ubuntu Hoary 5.04 on my beloved HP/Compaq laptop and trying to promote some new packages.

Why I am totally addicted to South Africa

3 years ago I went on holiday with my family to South Africa. My Ex-Wife is a southafrican indian and we visited all nice (non-tourist) places. So, I was really surprised to see Mark Shuttleworth doing this project, even with a hint to Africa. Finally, I was working with Thawte in the past, when Thawte wasn't known by anybody else then to a couple of anti-verisign guys Wink ;) What I forgot to say about South Africa is: If you visit Durban the next time, please visit the indian takeaway "Coconut Grove", it's really a nice place to eat (directly in front of the Durban beach) and they are making nice chilli cheese lamb burgers, chilly french fries and bunny chows (sp?) (it's a loaf of bread, and inside you will find lamb meat). If you like good wine, make a trip to Stellenbosch, it's near Cape Town (western cape), and taste some of the good red wine of South Africa.

I have to stop now with writing about South Africa, but it's really a nice, friendly, fantastic country, and I'm quite sure, in a couple of years time, I want to settle there and setup a business.
