Synopsis The first leadership council meeting was held and the following issues were discussed: 1. Gaining Admin control of the Mailing List--we will be contacting the Ubuntu Council to gain access to the admin passwords. 2. Discussion of release and Install parties...this will be discussed at the Sept LoCo Meeting. 3. It was decided to hold the leadership council meetings on the 3rd Wed of the month in #ubuntu-us-tn at 8E/7 Central time.

- Suggestion: Interested members should prepare nomination pages on their personal wiki and/or individuals nominating these members seeking Team Leadership should present the qualification pages to the team membership via the mailing list. (This will streamline the nomination and election process).
- Discuss and plan for regional and/or statewide release parties for Karmic Koala 9.10 this October.
- In keeping with the previously approved regional model for team administration, schedule informal team meet-and-greet meetings in the near future.

Synopsis After discussion and vote, it was decided to implement a regional point of contact Leadership Council as proposed. Synopsis: Discussion was made to nominate and vote on Team Leadership. After lengthy discussion, it was determined that we defer this action till the August 2009 meeting to be held on August 6th. Agenda Primarily we will address the team's lack of leadership. We will reach consensus about which people will fill the leadership roles (IRC OPs and Launchpad admins). Organize a regular time for IRC meetings. Discuss organizing a social event - agreeable time and location.
