Common issues and things to know for porting Ubuntu Touch to various hardware platforms

Currently, the Ubuntu Touch media framework based on GStreamer 1.2 and using the MediaCodec API from Android, works well on the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 devices. There will be various issues, some simple quick fixes, some more involved, in making this framework work on other devices. This is a wiki page that will aid in figuring out the issues in getting the media framework to function well on other devices that Ubuntu Touch has been ported to.
