Here are the ways in which you can reach the global Ubuntu Translations community. Our preferred way of contact is the Ubuntu Translators mailing list, but there are many other ways to get in touch with us or to follow what's happening in the translations world.

Mailing lists

General discussion

The mailing list is the place where all discussion and announcements should take place. You can read the online archive of the list, or you can subscribe to the list and get involved in the development of Ubuntu localization or internationalization.

Ubuntu Translations Coordination

We try to provide a transparent coordination process. As such, for discussions of any problem you encounter with translations, we encourage you to use the Ubuntu translators mailing list.

However, for special problems you can also contact the Ubuntu Translations Coordinators (please use this method if contacting us through the mailing list failed or if you feel it is not appropriate). As an example, you can contact the Ubuntu Translations Coordinators team for questions such as:

• Problems in importing Ubuntu translations in the Launchpad imports queue
• Requesting the addition of a new language to Ubuntu
• Involved technical questions on internationalization

Microblogging

• Iden.ti.ca. If you use identi.ca, you can subscribe to the ubuntutranslators group to share thoughts and announcements in real time about everything related to translating Ubuntu. You can use !ubuntutranslators, !ubuntu-l10n, !ul10n or !utranslators to send notices to the group.

• Twitter. If you use Twitter, you can subscribe to the ubuntul10n group to share thoughts and announcements in real time about everything related to translating Ubuntu. You can use @ubuntul10n, to send notices to the group, or the #ul10n hashtag for your related tweets.
