What I do for Ubuntu, in general

• Working as a developer for Ubuntu Studio with packagers, to test and think about what are the best and easiest possible configurations for end users

• I find and/or convince people to collaborate or provide information, for exemple: RealTime kernel, alsa-firmware package

• Testing Ubuntu Studio with professional sound engineers, artists and music shop to compare with commercial audio production solutions. Ardour2 is a big step
• Doing presentations of Ubuntu and Ubuntu Studio in fair and install parties
• I am not a programmer, but learning how to package

Who am I

In general

• I am living in Lyon, France, I am 26 years old, I run my own company as consultant for the plastics industry and my major hobbies are music and Ubuntu. I hope that I will use Ubuntu soon for making music.

About Ubuntu Linux

• I am using Ubuntu Linux as main OS at home and for multimedia since february 2005 (Warty?)
• I am not a "geek", I only know xhtml and css ; I only want to participate to free software with my skills, in helping non profit organisations or debutants to use Ubuntu, Open Office.org, etc...
• I am writing some illustrated documentation in french for debutant with Ubuntu Linux
• I own several audio production hardware and I use them to test a lot Alsa, Ubuntu Studio, etc...
• I am one of the developper of Ubuntu Studio, wich aim is multimedia production with Ubuntu Linux. I manage too some projects around multimedia and GNU/Linux with ttoine.net, collaborating with recording studios and sound engineers/designers
• I do presentations of Ubuntu and Ubuntu Studio in music shops, in french Ubuntu fairs and install parties
• I spend time on Launchpad looking for duplicate bugs, and following bugs about Ubuntu Studio and Bluetooth
• I am doing a marketing study about the possibilities to provide commercial support for Ubuntu Studio in France

En général

• J'habite à Lyon, France, j'ai 26 ans, j'ai monté mon entreprise comme consultant pour l'industrie des matières plastiques, et mes passes temps favoris sont la musique et Ubuntu. J'espère pouvoir bientôt utiliser Ubuntu pour faire de la musique.

A propos d'Ubuntu Linux

• J'utilise Ubuntu Linux comme principal OS depuis février 2005 (Warty ?)
• Je ne suis pas un codeur, ni un "geek", je ne connais que le html et le css ; je veux seulement apporter ma contribution au logiciel libre dans la mesure de mes possibilitées, notamment en aidant les associations, débutants, etc... à passer à Ubuntu, Open Office.org, etc...

• J'écris de la documentation illustrée sur Ubuntu Linux pour les débutants sur mon site http://ubuntu.ttoine.net

• J'ai à ma disposition pas mal de matériel de production audio que j'utilise pour tester Alsa, Ubuntu Studio, etc...
• Je suis un des développeurs d'Ubuntu Studio, qui a pour objectif la production multimedia sous Ubuntu Linux. Je dirige aussi quelques travaux autour du multimedia sous Gnu/Linux avec ttoine.net, en collaborant avec des studios d'enregistrement et des ingénieurs du son
• Ma grande fierté est d'avoir poussé et participé avec Crimsun à l'élaboration du paquet alsa-firmware pour le support des cartes son professionnelles dans Ubuntu
• Je présente Ubuntu Studio dans les magasins de musique et les forum et autres Ubuntu "install parties"
• Je passe du temps sur Launchpad à chercher les bugs dupliqués, à suivre les bugs autour d'Ubuntu Studio et du Bluetooth
• Je suis en train de faire une étude de marché sur les possibilité de faire en France du support commercial pour Ubuntu Studio
