Coming soon: improved bug subscriptions
Due to some bugs, the Launchpad developers have decided to postpone taking the new subscription system out of beta. The new plan is to take it live on June 8th, which will allow them to fix these last few issues. You can join the beta team (https://launchpad.net/~launchpad-beta-testers) if you are interested in helping to test the new subscription system early.

Congrats, nigelb and chrisjohnston!
Chris Johnston and Nigel Babu just got their first changes into Launchpad. To quote Jonathan (jml) Lange's talk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Cxs9OHIBcs&t=17m44s) from UDS:
"I’m not going to kid you, [changing Launchpad is] not easy but it’s sooo worth it, you get to help all these people and you get thunderous applause like I did earlier, and really should have gone to those five guys."

Tilde or not tilde
The Launchpad developers are looking to try and clarify who is who when two people share the same real name by also displaying the unique Launchpad ID in the person picker and at the top of the profile pages. Based on the results of a recent survey to try and determine whether to display a tilde (~) before the ID to clarify that it is a person, they have learned that a vast majority of users do not think the tilde is needed. The Teal Squad will now process these results and work on implementing this.

Countdown to the pie
Developers are racing to fix 203 critical bugs before the Dublin Thunderdome in one month. So far, they have been fixing these bugs at a rate of about 12 per week, which would allow them to meet their goal in about 18 weeks (3 months too late). If they do manage to meet this goal, Jono, Ted, and Neil have each agreed to take a pie in the face.
