=== Xubuntu, Kubuntu, and Edubuntu 12.04 will be LTS ===

Ubuntu 12.04 will be an LTS (Long Term Support) release, but it’s up to all the official flavors themselves to decide whether each will be an LTS release or not. The Technical Board approved plans for at 3 year LTS for Xubuntu and 5 year LTS for Kubuntu and Edubuntu during its meeting on January 9th. Details, including links to each proposal are available in the Tech Board meeting notes:

Ubuntu 12.04 will be an LTS (Long Term Support) release, but it’s up to all the official flavors themselves to decide whether each will be an LTS release or not. The Technical Board approved plans for at 3 year LTS for Xubuntu and 5 year LTS for Kubuntu and Edubuntu during its meeting on January 9th.
