Changes in Ubuntu Ohio
Stephen Michael Kellat details the future of Ubuntu Ohio, which will involve changing from being led by a council to being led by a sole individual. This means that, as of April 7th, Kellat serves as Point of Contact and Leader for Ubuntu Ohio. Upcoming orders of business include reevaluating how to grow Ohio’s Ubuntu community, and to prepare for Ohio Linux Fest 2013. In the meantime, the “Burning Circle” podcast will continue, and they will be working to more effectively reach Ubuntu enthusiasts across the state.

Ubuntu Touch Summary (week 14)
Bill Filler writes that a good amount of progress has been made in the past week on Ubuntu Touch. Updates include a dynamic app lens showing installed applications, core apps (calendar, clock, and calculator) included in the daily builds, and performance and HUD updates in the gallery. Work is also underway to enable hardware accelerated media playback as well as video recording in the camera app.
