Call for Ubuntu Community Council nominations

Walter Lapchynski informs us of the decision to repopulate the Ubuntu Community Council. Seven seats need to be filled, and thus this is a call for nominations. Requirements to be nominated are provided, along with the detail of what is required of applicants. Slick ‘Material Shell’ Extension Now Easy to Install on Ubuntu

Joey Sneddon advises that the Material Shell GNOME extension is now considered stable. He advises there is much more to the shell than just a tiling window manager. He provides a video of the shell in action as well as an install link to the GNOME Extensions website.

KDE Plasma 5.20 Desktop Enters Beta, Final Release Expected on October 13
