=== Ways to improve documentation ===

Daniele Procida in this post on the 'Ways to improve documentation' thread, tells us he recently joined Canonical as the Director of Engineering, and that "Canonical wants to address a raft of concerns around documentation". We are told that Canonical will be moving towards the Diátaxis framework for Ubuntu, and are running regular training workshops. These training workshops will likely be open for community contributors as well, with a request for the expression of thoughts on the training and how it can be better organized.

Colin Watson reports that Launchpad is now running Python 3 across all systems. Colin reflects on this change, and why it struck him more than his comparison with Mercurial. Providing some good & bads of the project, Colin discusses the python 2.7 to 3.5 change, what he'd do differently if he had a "time machine" (adding "type annotations in Python2 before Python3 branched"). He details what launchpad does, what made it a complex change, before moving to general lessons learnt (including regressions, memory leaks & other technical issues).

Rhys Davies blogs that it's been a couple of months since Ubuntu``On``Air was restarted, and in this post talks about what has been done, lessons learnt and what's yet to come. As the installer is still in the development stage "there are still bugs in the installer, so it may not work as intended" and further enhancements are expected. Marius concludes by giving us a sneak peek of what will be included in the Ubuntu 21.10 (Impish Indri) release that is due on 14 October 2021.
