What is Ubuntu Kylin?

Ubuntu Kylin is an open source operation system based on Ubuntu. Its objective is to create a puplar Linux distribution that is more suitable for Chinese users. We are committed to provide you with a delicate, thoughtful and fully customized Chinese user experience out-of-the-box. Ubuntu Kylin has been a formal member of the Ubuntu family since Ubuntu Kylin 13.04. Currently, we have two types of releases:

• Long-Time Support (LTS) Release: The Kernel and applications are much stable, and the community supporting peroid is FIVE years. It is suitalbe for persons or teams who use Ubuntu Kylin in their daily office work, enterprise manufacture and professional development. Our latest LTS version is Ubuntu Kylin 14.04.1 released on July 25, 2014!
• Short-Time Support (STS) Release: The Kernel and applications are much active, and the community supporting peroid is NINE months. It is suitalbe for persons or teams who use Ubuntu Kylin in their personal entertainment, office experience and learning of development. Our latest STS version is Ubuntu Kylin 14.10 we will release today!

We are glad to announce the final release of Ubuntu Kylin 14.10. In this release, we improve the system stability and add more new features, which provide you a better use experence. the Linux Kernel is updated to Ubuntu Kernel 3.16.0-17.23 based on 3.16.3 upstream version and Unity is 7.3.1. This release upgrades to Ubuntu Kylin Software Center 1.1.3, Youker Assistant 1.3.1, Youker Weather 2.1.2, Youker Calendar 1.0.0, Youker Fcitx 1.0.0, Sogou IM 1.1.0, Kuaipan 2.0.0 and Wiznote 2.1.12. and fix hundurds of system and application bugs. Known Issues

• Failed to boot from USB disk with error: gfxboot.c32: not a COM32R Image boot:(bug #1325801);
• In live session, Ubuntu Kylin help is display correctly, after installed Ubuntu Kylin help wasn't installed(bug #1308889);
• After login the system, some windows flashing(bug #1362086);
• Panel at the top missing, clicking on launcher does not have any response(bug #1362141);
• When login the system, there is a windows will pop up that tips install language(bug #1335776);
