Contributions

I'm an active member of Ubuntu-Women, and help out in the Amarok channel. At present, I'm the editor of the Amarok Insider, and am heading up the writing team for the new Handbook. Locally, I've been active in the Washington LoCo, and have volunteered for a leadership position with that team. In 2010, I staffed a booth at both LinuxFestNorthWest and OSCON, attended the CLS, put together an Ubuntu Hour, helped organize the Washington Loco Lucid Release Party in Seattle, organized Ubuntu Global Jam locally, and am planning both Software Freedom Day in September, and the 10.10 Release Party in October.

Future Goals

I hope to finish the Amarok Handbook soon, and find other tech writing projects which need doing in K/Ubuntu. I want the Washington LoCo to grow, and become official, and continue to have fun.

Testimonials

Valorie is a tremendous help with driving and planning activities for the Ubuntu Washington LoCo. Her cheerful personality makes her great company. We are very lucky to have her around. -- linda-halligan 2010-08-16 19:09:52
