Ubuntu activity

• Tunisian LoCo Team Member and member of Ubuntu Tunisian Team and Ubuntu-Tn Management Committee

• Coordinator of the Redaction Team (Elected at the 4th meeting): I participate actively in drafting content for the site or other media for the use of the Team. I also coordinate and mentor the activities of the other members who participates in the activities of the Redaction Team. Since 10 February 2009, I release my position as Coordinator of the Redaction Team to become Coordinator of the Events Team.

• Web&Tech Team Member : I participate actively in configuring the hosting server of the alpha site of my LoCo Team (The Website Project) . In the future, i'll look after the administration of the final server and the site with the Web&Tech Team.

• in my work, i am doing consulting tasks which always leads to the migration of customers to Ubuntu

• I actively paricipated in the TunisianTeam apparition in the Software Freedom Day 2008. Here is a pic of me in that event and here is another one. I also monitor the install-party of the day.

• I participate on Saturday November 15th,at the high Institute of multimedia and computer sciences of Sfax, Tunisia (ISIMS), where I introduced the quality of the famous Ubuntu operating system with a booth and conferences. Here's some pics of the event. Link in the Tunisian Team Reporting.

• Preparing an action which will be held in an engineering school (ENIS : National School of enineering of Sfax). The goal of the project is to migrate the platform of the school to Ubuntu and providing assistance to the administratif staff. Here's a draft of the project.

• Participate to the Conf'Day of the CLLfST (Open Source Club of the University of Sciences of Tunis) on the november 20th, 2008. During this day I present Ubuntu and present the virtualisation under Ubuntu (the presentation). Pics of the event. Another pics. Link in the Tunisian Team Reporting.

• I participate actively to the organisation of the ENIS EVENT 8.12 (December, 20 and 21 2008). during this days, i held three presentations (Ubuntu for Human Beings, Migration from MS Office to OOo, Virtualization under Ubuntu with VirtualBox). I also particpate to the migration of the PCs to Ubuntu and setting up a local depot to serve the ENIS. The opening 'ceremony' :). The first presentation. • I participate to the ENIS EVENT 9.01 (January, 23-24-25th 2009). This event goals was to have conferences for the students and leads to the integral migration of the ENIS to Ubuntu (over than 1000 PCs and Laptops). WiKi page of the EVENT.

• Modest participation on the Launchpad

• Always connected on the IRC Channels #ubuntu-tn, #ubuntu-tn-meeting, #ubuntu-tn-classroom (except sleep's time ) and on the #ubuntu-fr Channel, for supporting and building Tunisian Community.

• Actif on the ubuntu-tn ML

• Participate in drafting and validating WiKi pages for the ubuntu-tn Team

• As the coordinator of the Event Group, i'm supervising the planification of the ISETS EVENT 9.02 where i'll present some conferences and animate an install party. This event will take place this week at the High Institute of Technologic Studies.

Future involvement

• I'll propose the creation of a documentation team which will draft help documents.
• Insure the development and the administration of ubuntu-tn.org.

• I'll be a member of the association which will represent the LoCo Team with the Government Institution.

• Continue my involvement in the LoCo Team and planning to monitor the certification (LPI) of the members of my LoCo Team.

nizarus : Mawale joined our young Loco Team after the approval in July 2008. He quickly integrate the group an began one of the most active members. In Loco team management committee we elected him as a members because we believe in his contribution to spin up the Loco activity. He heavily participated to Loco team organisation and participation in the Tunisia SFD'2008. He was one of the most active and appreciated LoCo members during the Enis Event 8.12 and the Enis Event 9.01. I believe that Mawale will make a good ubuntu member.

Bayrem : I am the manager of a company specialized in open-source solutions (DevAgora). Wajih is our dedicated expert in Ubuntu. For each mission, his goal is to convince the customer to migrate its platform to ubuntu and provide the training. He is active, he contribues as well in the community and at entreprises missions both in a very professional and undeniable way.

ALAYA [30-01-2009]: Mawale is one of the most active member in our Ubuntu-tn LoCo team. He participated actively in the preparation of all event since he joint the LoCo and he was always ready to help users on the channel and the ML.
