About Me

Namskar, I am Abhijit Navale from Panvel, Maharashtra State, India. I am Computer Engineering Student at Mumbai University. C and C++ are my favorite programming langugaes. I like to program. I am alwasy testing new technologies in software fields which are related to end user. I am less interested in backend.

My introduction to Linux was like everyone eles's. We were doing a robotic project and we need to program a microcontroller. We dont have its programming kit at that time which was expensive. My friend Vishal suggested me that in Linux there is free programm available, and he showed me the Ubuntu first time. After enough introduction about Linux from him, my first question was that , if this whole damn thing is free (free as in bear! ) then why people use MS? and why not Linux?

My Contribution

I generaly prefer to contribute by helping new comers in #ubuntu. I hang a lot there in #ubuntu to help. (And to take help! ). You can contact me there for any noob Ubuntu querry! At the writing of this page, I am new to Ubuntu BugSquad. I am now slowly learning how to triage and about bugs.

I am there always in #ubuntu. And as time permits I hang around in some other channels too. You can find me in #ubuntu-bugs, #ubuntu-offtopic,#ubuntu-classroom and #ubuntu-classroom-chat.

I am currently subscribed to Indian LoCo team, Marathi Translation Team, Gujarati Translation Team, Ubuntu Manual Team and Ubuntu BugSquad.

Projects I am interested and working on

Other than Ubuntu I like to contribute some time to Abiword and OpenOffice.

Future Plans

I am planning to learn some additional programming languages. As well as I wish to contribute on real coding of Ubuntu some day!
